
Branding: Recreating your client experience
Mistake #1: Branding is about my logo
Beyond colors, images, and logos... what happens in your business? What's the client experiencing when they encounter you, your product, or your services? Whatever the answer might be, that's your branding.
Mistake #2: Branding is what I like
Branding elements are usually selected based on what the business owner likes - colors, fonts, and yes...even experiences. But your business isn't about you! It's about that ideal client/customer your serve. What do they like? What do they respond to? What speaks their language? While you may have started out in business selecting things that resonate with you and your likes, be sure to rethink through some of those to be sure that it's what truly makes sense and reaches out to the people you're trying to serve!
Mistake #3: It's already set. I can't change it now.
Branding evolves as you do and as your business does. So don't worry if changes need to be made. Every business goes through tweaks and updates. You're in good company!
